  patrick did not believe that he can eat meat every day again, especially since the death of his father and His mother during child birth.he did not disagree with his aunty, though, because he was too choked with expectations, imagining his new life away from the village, the afternoon was too hot as if the ozone layer does not exist again, had been walking for a while now in this cruel hot sun, since they got off the bus from village at the motor park. But he did not mind. He was ready to walk hours more in even hotter sun.    
    His aunty walked slower,her wore out slippers making slap-slap sounds that echoed in the silent street. Patrick wondered if she, too could feel the soil getting hotter because of the cruel afternoon sun, patrick walk passed a sign post written "UGO street" and he comes across any English word that was not that hard and long to pronounce.

1a) A plant has roots which extend into the soil. Attached to these roots are small hairs, called root hairs which increase the surface area of the root and allow the root to take up water more easily. Water moves into the roots by osmosis which requires no energy since the water concentration is greater outside the plant then inside the plant's roots."Once inside the root hair, the water needs to be transferred to the xylem, the vascular tissue involved in water transport through the plant. In roots, the vascular tissue is found in a central column, separated from the cortex parenchyma cells by a single layer of cells called the endodermis

There is a water concentration gradient across the root which means that water which has entered the root hair cell continues to move across the cortex to the endoderm
is by osmosis. The route taken by much of the water is through the cellulose cell walls, the rest of the water either passes through the cytoplasm of the cells or via the cell vacuoled once it reaches the endoderm cells, the water is forced to move through the cytoplasm.

Root pressure can be demonstrated by cutting a stem atsoil level, after a time, droplets of water can be seen exuding from the cut surface. In some plants the process occurs naturally as"gustation", when droplets of water are forced through special pores (hydathodes) on the leaf edges.

It is likely that the process of root pressure requires energy, as metabolic poisons halt the process."

On Thursday, August 25, the Delta state commissioner for Urban Renewal, Karo Illo stormed the venue for the celebration of ‘Delta at 25’ with his wife fully dressed in Delta state cultural regalia.

Despite their lovely appearance at the party, what caught the attention of everyone at the venue was his mode of transportation. He rode a bike to the occasion with his wife sitting comfortably behind him. The commissioner was dressed in a cream lace-top and Ankara wrapper while his wife was dressed in a ‘cream blouse and Ankara wrapper with gold head gear (gele).
